September 11: A Day of Remembrance

Posted by Scott Lynett, Esq. | Sep 11, 2026 | 0 Comments

For many of us, September 11, 2001, is a day we will never forget. Even 25 years later, we can remember where we were, who we were with, and the feeling of watching events unfold that were almost impossible to comprehend.

Today, I simply want to take a moment to remember.

We remember the nearly 3,000 people who lost their lives that day and the families and friends whose lives were forever changed. We remember the first responders who ran toward danger to help people they had never met, as well as all those who served and sacrificed in the days and years that followed.

I also remember how, during an incredibly difficult time, people came together. Neighbors looked out for one another. Communities supported each other. There was a shared sense that despite our differences, we were all Americans experiencing something together.

Twenty-five years later, I hope we can continue to carry some of that spirit with us. A little more kindness toward one another. A willingness to help someone who needs it. An appreciation for our families, our communities, and the people who serve them.

On this anniversary, my thoughts are with everyone who lost someone they loved, those who answered the call to help, and all whose lives were forever changed by September 11.

May we continue to honor their memories and never forget.
